![]() Hey Everyone, The MNM Annual General Meeting is booked for Thursday Evening Jan 24 at 7:00pm at the Mermaid Beach SLSC. All members, young and not so young, are asked to come along and get involved in your Club!! We are looking for any assistance available. Not just Executive Committee Positions!! For example, the Club desperately needs 2-3 people to form a sub-committee for Fundraising and Social Activities. This is a small job but will make a huge difference to the Club in 2013!! OUr goal is to have more opportunities for our members to meet and get to know each other and if we can do that whist supporting the Club even better!! As the saying goes "Many hands make light work". The Club has had a great year in 2012 however we always look to improve and make things even better. Come along on the 27th and help make that happen. Even if you don't put your hand up for a job you can at least give us your 2 cents worth!! Thanks to those that supported us in 2012 and hopefully you'll be back for more this year!! Cheers MNM Management Committee ![]() Surfing Queensland has undertaken a ground breaking restructure of the Boardriders Club affiliation process, which will provide benefits to Clubs, their dedicated volunteers and all our members. Starting this year all MNM Boardriders members will be required to register online through the Surfing QLD website. The process is no different to registering for other Surfing QLD events and a step by step process for online registration is included on the left hand side of this email. The new registration process now means that all Boardriders Club members will be insured against injury in the surf 365 days of the year regardless of weather or not you were competing or free surfing. The insurance does not cover wages however will cover medical expenses up to $50,000. For more details on the Policy, Click the link below to read the product disclosure statement. Please note the MNM registration fees for 2013 have remained unchanged except for an additional $8. This is the cost of the additional insurance coverage. Great value for this level of insurance!! Life members who still wish to compete will be required to register online and pay the $8 insurance fee. All other Life members will only be required to complete a manual registration form available at the Club Sign-on day on Sunday 27th January. Online Registration Process: 1) Click on the button below to be directed to the online registration page. 2) Choose on MNM Boardriders Club 3) Type in the MNM Club Access Code in the space provided. CODE = 4218 4) Complete either an individual or Family registration form 5) FAMILY REGISTRATION - MNM Family registration is for only 4 members only. The online form will allow you to put 6 names down. This was to accommodate other clubs. If you have 5 or more family members you must register the additional members separately. ![]() What does that mean?? I hear you ask.....The QLD Government has funding available to cover the costs of Club Membership!!! How does that work with MNM Boardriders and the online Registration?? 1) You firstly MUST register with our Club through the online system and pay for registration fees as your normally would. 2) Then you apply for the voucher through the QLD Government Get Started Program. 3) If your successful in receiving the voucher, and the Club is paid by the QLD Government for your son or daughter, then a full refund of your Club fees that you paid to date through the online system will be forwarded to you by the Club.
