One thing is for sure, we all need to finish in front of Penrose!! Come on crew! Get on it!!
The Northern Beaches Code Clash has wrapped up again for another year.
Despite the odd shower (at times torrential rain!) everybody still got down to support the crew and a fun day was had by all.
We were lucky with the conditions on the day with a 2-4 foot swell and a nice left hand bank providing surfers with some great waves and laying the platform for some great surfing all day.
The day was only made possible due to our great volunteers, supports and of course the event sponsors!
The Club would like to thank all those competitors, their friends and family for supporting the event and for helping make it a success! Despite the rain!!
Local Knowledge Nobby's, who have supported the Code Clash since day 1, were great again supplying prize packs for all the finalists including generous gift cards up to $300!
The ongoing partnership with this event is valued by all MNM members and we look forward to working with LK again in 2014.
New event sponsors Aussie Fit Sport Science (www.aussiefitsport.com.au) came on board in 2013 by contributing towards the costs of the contest shirts. Every little bit of support helps and all of the MNM members would like to pass on our thanks and gratitude for the support!
And the winners were!!!
Congratulations to all finalists and we hope to see everyone back in 2014!!
Don't forget about the 2013 Northern Beaches Code Clash, this year proudly supported by Local Knowledge Nobby's and Aussie Fit Sport Science.
The event is shaping to be another cracker with great banks all up and down the Miami Stretch!!
Entries are filling up fast, so to ensure you secure your spot click on the button below and register via the Surfing QLD website, events page.
Great conditions and enthusiastic surfing saw the MNM team take the honours at the 5th Mackenzie Walker Cup over the weekend. Barrelling low tide waves greeted both the MNM and Palm Beach Boardriders teams at Fifteenth Avenue, Palm Beach on Saturday morning. The MNM Team revelled early in the eight four man heats and best two wave scoring format with Dan Chuter, Tyson Kolka and Tom Hatcher locking in plenty of tube time and high scores. The rest of the team followed on with the same enthusiasm and quality surfing to eventually take the title for the first time in the cup's history. Congratulations to Tom Hatcher and Ellie Brooks who took home the best surfer trophy's. Well done MNM Team. Special thanks to Tim O'Leary for his work all day, to Cory Webb and Taj Farone who helped with judging and to all the family and friends who came along and supported an event in memory of a great kid.
