A pristine Gold Coast winters day greeted a record attendance of southern Gold Coast boardriders clubs on Sunday morning at Pacific SLSC.
The only thing that didn't turn up was the waves.
Regardless, the competition kicked off in clean 1ft shore breakers. Considering the conditions, there was some outstanding performances which saw the lead change from wave to wave. In the end, it was our very own MNM Boardriders Team that took home the Trophy.
Congratulations to the entire team for a great effort. Although every surfer performed to the best of their abilities on the day, right through from our groms, McCoy, Jaiden and Ryan, girls, Ellie and Isobel, Juniors, Sam, Tom and Kyle, open, Blake and veterans Gibbo, Shannon, Polsey and Mick, it was a young at heart Joji Fujino that stole the show by smashing both of his 2 wave count in the final round.
Great TEAM effort MNM. Thanks to all that made the time to participate and support a cause close to all MNM members hearts. Also, a big thanks to Wolfie & Dicko for their efforts at the officials table.

Anchalee has been on the road and competing. She had a great result in the Pearl Of The Andaman Surfing Contest by securing 2nd in the Open Women's and 3rd in Mixed Juniors event.
There was Royalty present with the Princess Of Thailand watching the women's event and award ceremony.
Anchalee overcame adversity to get the result as she copped a longboard to the shin requiring 2-3 stitches in the first minute of the semi.
Well done mate!! - Great Effort!
The Call has been made early!!
This weekends comp will postponed until the following weekend.
As we have a long weekend, NRL Grand Final and of course the MNM DAY AT THE RACES!!
We all felt it better to have some family time in between all of the fun and festivities!! of course, if you can get a grovel in there as well it would be good, but the long flat spell looks set to continue.
See you all on Saturday at the Miami Tavern!! Baz had the tips ready and we are all going to win!!!
